Meghan and Prince Harry ‘break traditional dinner party etiquette’ as they insist on sitting next to each other and engaging in ‘frowned upon PDA’

  • Since Meghan and Harry married the pair regularly attend dinner functions
  • It’s believed the loved-up couple prefer to be seated together ignoring tradition
  • According to Mail On Sunday it has caused upset within Harry’s society circle

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have reportedly caused a stir when it comes to attending fancy dinner parties together.

It seems the loved-up pair can’t bear to be seated apart according to the Mail on Sunday as they’ve been insisting on sitting next to each other and ignoring long-standing rules.

It’s thought she has dismissed party etiquette as ‘exclusive’ and ‘traditional’ and has instead been rejoicing in affectionate dinner-table PDAs with her royal husband, which is ‘frowned upon’.

Loved-up: Royal couple Meghan and Harry are breaking with traditional dinner party rules and insisting they sit together

It’s apparently ruffled the feather of Harry’s society circle as they ‘roll their eyes’ at her ‘American ways’ while others are thought to have ‘stopped inviting her to dinner’.

There are three rules related to society seating plans that attendees must follow about ‘placement’.

The first is that it must always be pronounced in the French way, emphasising all three syllables to avoid sounding ‘common’ or, American.

Secondly, couples should never be put together to avoid a public display of affection putting guests off their food.

And finally, so as not to disrupt the intricate social balancing act that is placement, one must always sit where placed.
