Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have shared unseen photos and video highlights from their meeting with young leaders from the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.

The couple, who completed their final duties as senior members of the royal family this week, invited young leaders to a round table discussion at Buckingham Palace last week.

Topics included mental health, equal opportunities for all, and the importance of supporting youth leadership to help address global challenges and drive positive change around the world.

This evening they shared a photograph from the meeting to their Sussex Royal Instagram Stories, as well as a black and white ‘outtake’ shot showing Harry looking relaxed in fits of laughter.

The couple directed fans to the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust (QCT) Instagram page which shared video highlights of the conversation which took place.

The Duchess of Sussex wore a £925 Preen by Thornton Bregazzi asymmetrical toffee midi dress, while Harry opted for a black suit with a white shirt, opting to make it more casual with the absence of a tie.

The Duchess let the piece speak for itself with minimal accessories and wore her long brown locks lose around her shoulders, and teamed the dress with a pair of nude court heels and dainty gem earrings.

Opting for a heavier make-up look, the Duchess matched her the peach tones on her cheeks with warm colours of her dress, adding lashings of highlighter to her upper cheek bones.

She paired the look with a matching pale peach lip alongside a smokey eye-look, with shadow on both her top and bottom eyelids paired with a light eyeliner.

The couple were joined by QCT Advisor Kenny Imafidon and Esther Marshall – founder of sTandTall and and author of the Sophie Says book series.

Also in attendance was Izzy Obeng, founder and director of Foundervine; Victor Ugo, founder of the Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative, and Kiran Kaur and Amna Akhtar of Hey Girl Dreamer.

After quitting as members of The Firm, Harry will leave his role as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador, but remains president of the QCT, while Meghan maintains her position as its vice-president.

The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust uses its network, platform and resources, built and shaped together with young people from across the Commonwealth, to support young leaders in realising their dreams and hopes for the future.

Yesterday the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended their last official engagement after stepping down as senior royals yesterday, at the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey

The couple joined the Queen, 93, and other senior royals in their last official duty before holding a series of meetings in Britain and heading back to Canada next week

The pair will be reunited with their ten-month-old son Archie in North America, before officially stepping down in three weeks’ time on March 31.

The couple have been staying at their UK base of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor over the past few weeks, while carrying six engagements, but next week will fly back to Vancouver Island where they have been living in recent at a luxurious £14million waterside mansion.

However they will keep their Windsor home, start paying commercial rent and pay back £2.4million in taxpayers’ money spent on its renovations.

Megan donned an emerald green ensemble as she arrived for the Commonwealth Day service, featuring  an exquisite caped dress by designer Emilia Wickstead with a matching hat by William Chambers.

The elegant, long-sleeved dress is thought to be a bespoke creation by Wickstead, a favourite of both Meghan and the Duchess of Cambridge, 38.

The Sussexes appeared to exchange an awkward ‘hello’ with Prince William and Kate at the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey yesterday afternoon.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex walked in ahead of William and Kate – the first public meeting of the two brothers and their wives since Megxit was announced two months ago – before Prince Charles and Camilla also arrived and the Queen then made an entrance to trumpet fanfare and cheers from crowds outside.

Unlike last year, Harry and Meghan were conducted to their seats at the church in London, rather than waiting for the Queen’s arrival and walking through with the monarch and key royals as they did in March 2019.

Once seated, the royals’ position on the chairs was based on their ranks within the family, with Charles next to the Queen due to him being first-in-line, followed by William in second, and Harry in sixth.

They took similar positions last year, although Meghan was next to Prince Andrew, who has since stepped down from royal duties.

Meghan was seen to mouth ‘hi’ and give a small wave to William and Kate, followed by a ‘hello’, as the Cambridges took their seats near the High Altar. Harry also said ‘hello’ and smiled at his brother.

It comes after Harry admitted last October that he and his brother are on ‘different paths’ and have good and bad days in their relationship.
