Meghan Markle film about singles partying picked up for North American distribution 

Meghan Markle’s 2011 film about singles on the party scene called The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down will finally be released after it’s picked up for distribution

  • The tongue-in-cheek film follows twenty-something singles clubbing in LA over the course of one night

  • The film’s cast included future New Girl star Max Greenfield and and ANTM’s Eva Marcille 

She may have ended her acting career in order to become a royal, but a young Meghan Markle will soon be returning to American screens.   

Markle’s 2011 film, The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down, has been picked up for North American distribution by Artist Rights Distribution, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 

The tongue-in-cheek, Paul Sapiano-directed film follows the hi-jinks of Los Angeles twenty-something singles clubbing and partying it up over the course of a single night.

The film was released in 2011 as a TV movie, but now is set for release later this year. 

Markle played Dana in the film, and starred opposite the likes of future New Girl star Max Greenfield and America’s Next Top Model Eva Marcille. 

More than 10 years after the film made it’s debut, Markle ended her acting career in order to marry Prince Harry.

The actress was playing Rachel Zane on the USA legal drama Suits when she met and fell in love with the prince, before ending her role on the show to marry him in 2018.

Suits has now been axed after the ninth 10-episodes long installment. 

Markle’s acting credits include roles in 90210, Castle, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, and A Lot Like Love. 

The actress tied the knot with Prince Harry at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.

The newlyweds are now expecting their first child together.
