Meghan Markle wore an eye-watering £66,879 worth of clothes and jewellery in New York

Meghan Markle wore nearly £67,000-worth of clothes and jewellery during her three-day-trip to New York, where she lectured wealthy nation for hoarding vaccines.

From Cartier watches to £3,200 coats, the Duchess of Sussex, 40, racked up a very pricey designer wardrobe estimated to cost a total of £66,879 for her visit, where  she primarily donned unseasonably warm ensembles in 76F New York weather.

It comes as Prince Harry appeared to be wearing a secret mic during his visit with Meghan to a Harlem soul food joint Friday, suggesting the couple may have been recording their New York tour as part of their multi-million dollar Netflix and Spotify deals.

The wire was seen poking out from underneath the Duke of Sussex’s shirt and trailing into his chino pocket as he leaned forward to hug Melba restaurant owner Melba Wilson.

Other photos taken of the couple’s outing Friday – first to a Harlem school and then onto the local food joint – also suggest Harry was wearing a wire.

Meghan donned a sober look for her visit of the 9/11 memorial. She donned a £1,368 Emporio Armani coat with matching £649 ($889) black trousers and £449 ($615) Aquazzura heels, for a total of £2,466, pictured

The 37-year-old wore his long-sleeved polo shirt open, revealing a sneak peak of what appeared to be a dark wire around his neck.

Meghan, 40, meanwhile has sported unusually heavy, long coats for all of their engagements during their New York City tour, which would hide any mic system from view.

For their outings on Thursday and Saturday, Harry was kitted out in smart suits and collared shirts – also disguising any potential wires beneath – with Friday’s casual outfit seemingly giving the game away.

The power couple were also closely followed by an eager camera crew wherever they went.
