Meghan Markle’s Suits co-stars use show’s wardrobe team for wedding

Meghan Markle’s former Suits co-stars are scrambling to find appropriate ensembles for her big day and have decided to use the show’s wardrobe department to make them dresses and hats suitable for an English royal wedding.

The actors had been struggling with the dress code of  ‘dress uniform, morning coat or lounge suit’, with such options hard to come-by in the US and Canada.

So the co-stars and crew members enlisted the help of the wardrobe team to either make their outfits or secure pieces in preparation to watch Meghan and Prince Harry tie the knot at Windsor Castle on May 19.

An inside source told the Telegraph: ‘Last time I was there, I happened to run into a couple of people in wardrobe who were helping getting things made for some of those that are going.

‘They were just helping with some of the ladies outfits, helping with the dresses and the hats.

‘Two outfits are required for the May festivities, with the men asked to wear a morning suit, which, a few invitees have learned, isn’t particularly easy to secure stateside.’

They added: ‘I think it’s just a couple of people they are helping with it. I don’t think they’re making the men’s clothing, I think they will be wearing morning suits.

‘I understand everyone is to wear a hat of some kind, there are a couple of choices…whatever they wear in England, they wear those little side hats.’

Meghan starred on Suits for seven years before leaving in the series’ seventh season, ending the show with her own wedding on the popular legal drama.

The show’s stars Patrick Adams, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres are all believed to be attending the wedding.

As Hollywood gets ready for the big day, preparations are well underway in Windsor ahead of the nuptials, including the construction of a media platform and the grass being cut on the Long Walk.

Signs have also been put up advising Great Western Railway passengers of queuing at stations on the day, while car parks are being laid in fields and repairs to roads on the procession route have been made.

Royal wedding revellers will face airport-style security checks while metal barriers to deter vehicle attacks will be in place around Windsor for the big day on May 19 as tens of thousands of spectators flock to the town.

Other security measures include a huge network of automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology and CCTV alongside hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) barriers to prevent the use of cars or vans in an attack.

An increased police presence is being built up in Windsor, with police officers, both armed and unarmed, search dogs, the mounted section, the roads policing unit and the National Police Air Service joining forces.
