Mel B’s new Barbie-doll look leaves Simon Cowell VERY confused during America’s Got Talent auditions

She is somewhat of a style chameleon having shown off long curly brown tresses and a short slicked back bob during the latest series of America’s Got Talent.

But Mel B’s latest transformation left head judge Simon Cowell agog as she took her seat on the judging panel on Tuesday.

The former Spice Girl, 43, looked almost unrecognisable as she arrived to the show, wearing a flowing blonde hairpiece which cascaded down her shoulders in loose waves.

With soft make-up and a blush pink shift dress, the Wannabe hitmaker looked like a modern-day Barbie, and her transformation didn’t go unnoticed by Simon.

The mogul, 58, did a double-take as Mel arrived, and stared at her without saying anything.

A typically outspoken Mel said: ‘Do I look that different?’

As Simon continued to silently stare, she said: ‘What’s your problem? Either you like it or you don’t!’

Simon finally responded with a slight grimace: ‘I love it!’

A moving tale of fatherly love preceded an astonishing performance that won Simon’s coveted golden buzzer on Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent.

When pediatric mental health nurse Michael Ketterer nervously took to the stage, he seemed to be like many others saying: ‘My family is my reason I’m here.’

He soon told the amazing tale of how he almost lost his wife and daughter, with ‘signs’ later leading them to adopting five sons — three rescued from a squalid meth lab, one who was homeless, and another with cerebral palsy.

Michael then started singing To Love Somebody — stunning the room with his beautiful voice and a performance clearly driven by the words of devotion for his family.

Simon struggled to contain his emotions as he called Michael ‘real,’ smiling as he said ‘sometimes actions speak louder than words’ — standing to press the golden buzzer sending him straight through to the live rounds.

After jumping for joy, Michael’s wife and kids joined him for hugs onstage, with Simon also going up to meet them all, telling Michael: ‘What a fantastic audition. Something about your voice, I genuinely mean this, is special and everything was perfect.’
