Mel C says that Spice Girls fans will have to ‘ask Geri’ about a prospect reunion for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
The Spice Girls never seem to shake off speculation over prospect reunions.
But Sporty Spice Mel C, 48, has said that Geri Horner, 49, is the one to ‘ask’ regarding a comeback for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
It was reported on Saturday that the best-selling girl group of all time have been invited to reunite for a celebratory concert to mark the occasion by BBC bosses.

Yet according to The Sun, Melanie, who is currently on a solo tour, told the crowd at London’s St. John’s Church over the weekend that the plans have not been discussed between the five of them.
When asked if they would be accepting the BBC’s offer, the pop singer replied: ‘You’re going to need to ask Geri about that one. We have not discussed it yet.’
As reported by The Sun, on Saturday, the decision is ‘now in the hands of the girls.’

BBC will stage and broadcast a special live concert from Buckingham Palace on June 4 to celebrate The Queen’s seven decade reign.
It would be the first time all five singers have performed on stage since the closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012, after Victoria declined the chance to rejoin the band for their 2019 reunion tour.
‘BBC bosses are determined to put on a show to remember and what band is more iconic than the Spice Girls,’ a source said.

‘The invitation has been made and it’s now in the hands of the girls.
‘It’s no secret they regret turning down a similar opportunity for the Diamond Jubilee and they all have a deep respect for the Royal Family and the Queen.’
MailOnline approached the BBC and a representative for the Spice Girls for comment.

Hints had been dropped by the girls that they were set to take to the stage once again with a world tour in the near future.
But the pandemic is said to have put the brakes on the proposals, with an insider telling The Sun: ‘It was going brilliant — but Covid killed the momentum.
‘Now it’s done again. There’s nothing on the agenda and they’re focusing on their own things.’
They added: ‘A few years of lockdown and everyone’s back has turned on the group in favour of other projects.
‘Geri is talking about new TV things, Emma has TV and radio work and the two Mel’s are focusing on their own stuff.
‘Victoria certainly isn’t going to be the one to bring it back to life — so it has fizzled out. They’re done.’
