Melania Trump donned a stunning sleeveless Alexander McQueen frock with a $2,375 price tag for the second night of the G7 summit after spending the day sightseeing in Biarritz wearing a summery Calvin Klein piece.
The 49-year-old US First Lady beamed in a rouge cocktail dress beside her husband Donald Trump, who wore a navy and silver tie with an American flag pin.
Melania’s red number was her second outfit of the day, a seamless transition from the white midi-length Calvin Klein dress she wore earlier as the group of G7 wives visited Espelette, a traditional Basque village near the summit in Biarritz.
Mayor Jean-Marie Iputcha took the world leaders’ glamorous spouses on a whirlwind tour of the town which included an impromptu wine tasting with a beret-wearing wine expert and a stop by a local bakery.
Melania smiled pleasantly beside other world leaders, including French First Lady Brigitte Macron, who made three dress changes during the day.
The two leading women narrowly avoided an awkward fashion faux pas as Melania’s night dress matched the color of Brigitte’s from the day. Brigitte traded in her red dress for a white and silver number at dinnertime.
A noted absence from the events was Boris Johnson’s significant other, Carrie Symonds, who is understood to have not been able to make the trip due to work commitments.

Melania Trump is understood to have scouted the area in June, to prepare for the gastronomic and cultural tour in the village which is 20 miles into the Pyreness foothills.
The area is most famous for its dried red peppers called Piment d’Espelette. The peppers were used in the dinner that the Group of Seven leaders shared in nearby Biarritz on Saturday night.
The ladies strolled through the picturesque village, also known for its stunning scenery, and posed outside a number of local shops, traditional Basque houses and even got the chance to taste some wine.
The spouses then had lunch at the Villa Arnaga, built by the French playwright who wrote ‘Cyrano de Bergerac.’
