Melania Trump omitted from Vanity Fair’s Best Dressed List

Vanity Fair released its annual International Best Dressed List and one name seems to have noticeably not made the cut.

First Lady Melania Trump was not among the list, along with no other members of Trump’s family, but predecessor Michelle Obama was included with her husband for best dressed couples.

Melania’s stylist, Hervé Pierre, was also on the list with politicians like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigette included as well.

And legions of conservative fans took offense to Melania’s lack of praise, criticizing Michelle’s addition on the list and omitting the obvious detail that she was on the list for best dressed couple with Barack Obama.

One user said: ‘Vanity Fair made a big mistake by purposely neglecting to give credit to @FLOTUS Melania in the 2017 Best Dressed List-She’s a Fashion Icon!’

Another added: ‘She has won ‘The best dressed and beautiful woman’ voted on by We The People!! Does anything else matter? First Lady of USA is #1 and loved!’

For many, pointing out the vast difference in accolades between Melania Trump and Michelle Obama was enough of a reason to not include the First Lady.

One user said: ‘I’m assuming y’all reposted this as a result of Michelle Obama (Princeton, Harvard, First Lady) making the Vanity Fair best-dressed list…’

Another said: ‘Melania just isn’t very memorable. She’s pretty, yes but she’s not doing much as First Lady. @MichelleObama is beautiful as well but visible.’

Others pointed to what the First Lady wore to Harvey relief in Houston to show how much she was out of the loop, in their minds.

Melania Trump’s wardrobe has been a subject with the publication before. Vanity Fair wrote on the First Lady’s love for pink and her heavily criticized decision to wear stilleto heels to Houston in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

They recently ran an article detailing how Melania Trump once again found inspiration from Michelle Obama in her outfits that were similar to the J. Crew ones she wore.
