Melbourne burger bar creates most extravagant burger ever

A Melbourne fast food restaurant has debuted a multi-layered masterpiece of a burger that may possibly be their most most extravagant yet.

The appropriately named ‘Big Dipper’ is a burger that’s built on a whopping 450 gram smoked beef patty that’s been hollowed out and stuffed with pulled pork.

But wait there’s more. The patty is then wrapped with bacon and topped with cheese before it’s slow cooked.

More bacon is added as well as liquid cheese and barbeque sauce. But the pièce de résistance is the top part of the bun is hollowed out and filled with more liquid cheese, and of course, a fair serving of chips.

The creation is the handiwork of B3 BBQ – a Brunswick-based burger bar which has built its reputation on creating crazy gourmet burgers.

Owner Chris Foley told Daily Mail Australia his team create the specials each month as part of a ‘hidden menu that’s shared with their social media followers.

He explained those who see the burgers online can ask for it in store, it’s not on the menu as a regular fixture.

While not cheap, the Big Dipper will set burger lovers back $24.90, it’s guaranteed to deliver on the flavour front.

Naturally social media has gone wild for the whopper, with the video alone clocking up almost most 200,000 views.

Plenty have left comments too, ranging from ‘A heart attack in a meal right there’ to another writing ‘this looks like heaven’.

Addressing nutritional concerns potential punters might have, Chris offers the over-the-top treat ‘is what it is’.

‘We’re not trying to pretend to be anything, we’re just trying of offer people tasty food in a comfortable environment, he said.

‘It’s wholesome food that’s approachable.’

Fans have been equally wowed, although many seem far less concerned as to the rib dog’s artery clogging capabilities.
