The victim of the terrifying home invasion at a Melbourne public housing unit said four masked intruders brutally assaulted him before stealing his iPad mini.

‘I tried to stand in the way and stop them… I was pretty dazed… I think that’s when blood started coming out. I had a fair bit of blood in my eyes.’

The footage shows the 41-year-old trying in vain to stop the thugs smashing their way through his back door before they allegedly ransack his home.

‘All four of them have just come barging in… They actually grabbed me and swung me into the shelving,’ he said.

Adam claimed he is still nursing fractured ribs and a head injury as a result of the alleged attack at 3am on March 10.

An 18-year-old man, allegedly with links to Melbourne’s notorious Apex gang, has been charged over the incident, but three others remain at large.

‘I want them taken off the streets. I think it’s important for others, like the elderly,’ Adam said.

The teenager faced an adult court for the first time, after a string of offences as a youth, The Australian reported.

He told the Melbourne Magistrates Court he had been trying to change his ways, but his bail application was denied.
