Protesters have mobbed a Channel Seven reporter as hundreds rallied against Covid vaccine mandates and Melbourne’s new pandemic laws in the city’s CBD.

Angry protesters were heard shouting ‘shame on you’ repeatedly at veteran journalist Nick McCallum outside Victoria’s state parliament on Tuesday. 

A line of masked police officers could then be seen blocking the protesters’ path as the presenter retreated down the street. 

The protesters pursued McCallum after he approached them for an interview, The Age journalist David Estcourt wrote on Twitter. 

‘Protesters at Parliament House drive veteran Seven reporter Nick McCallum from the crowd as he approached demonstrators for comment,’ he said.
