A 17-year-old has made care packages for her stepfather to hand out on board a long-haul flight to warn other passengers about his snoring.
Alan Tattersall, 62, was preparing for a flight from Melbourne to Houston, Texas, last month.
His stepdaughter, Grace White, became concerned about his snoring after she could hear him from her room one night before he left – so she made care packages with earplugs for him to hand out.
Grace and her mother Ros, Mr Tattersall’s wife, got the idea to make ten care packages – including chocolate, earplugs and a note – for him to take on the plane.
The note said: ‘The snoring usually only last a short time – while he falls asleep.’

‘I’d heard of mums giving out little care packages when they have babies on planes – acknowledging that their infants might be crying,’ Grace told The Mirror.
Mr Tatrersall said Grace and her mother were ‘cheeky’ to have handed him the care packages.
‘I knew I snored but I didn’t think for a moment it was that bad,’ he said.
‘I was flying from Melbourne to Houston – it’s quite a long flight. On the way back it was about 32 hours, including three stopovers, so I thought I’d better give them out.’
He said he handed most of them out but some were immediately watching a film and putting their own headphones on once they were seated.
One woman immediately tore open the package and had a chuckle when she read it, according to Mr Tattersall.
Others thought it was strange that he had handed them out.
