Melbourne Storm’s Craig Bellamy has been hailed for providing more action than Friday night footy after an extraordinary mid-game blow-up.

Bellamy threw a tantrum for the ages during his squad’s victory over Sydney Roosters at Adelaide Oval on Friday evening.

The Storm coach was visibly agitated as the cameras cut from the pitch to the coach’s box in Fox Sports’ live coverage.

There was less than two minutes left in the match when Bellamy reacted to his team’s failure to connect a pass.

Melbourne was holding a two point lead at the time and appeared as though they were about to secure a match-winning try.

Footage of the box showed a frustrated Bellamy yelling ‘no’, before throwing his arms into the air and letting screams rip.

The distressed coach was then captured turning his head away from the action and seemingly releasing profanities.

The reaction caught the attention of commentators who erupted in laughter, with one saying ‘have a look at the stress’.

‘Watching Craig Bellamy in the coach’s box is just as entertaining as the game itself #NRLRoostersStorm,’ one person said.

‘I could just watch Craig Bellamy blowing up all day. Forget the game, just keep a camera on him for the full 80 minutes,’ another said.

Other viewers were less than impressed by Bellamy’s conduct.

‘I’ve seen two year olds with better self-control than Craig Bellamy,’ one said.

Another viewer joked whether you’d rather be in chef Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen or play for the Storm under Bellamy.

Both teams scored two tries apiece, but it was the boot of Cameron Smith that proved the difference.

The Storm captain was a perfect three goals from as many attempts, while Roosters centre Latrell Mitchell nailed two of his three looks at goal.

The gritty victory not only extends Melbourne’s winning streak to six, but lifts them six points clear of both the Roosters and South Sydney.

The last team to hold a six-point lead after 15 rounds was the Storm in 2012, and they went on to claim the premiership against Canterbury.

It was also the fourth time in their past five clashes that the game was decided by three points or less, including a one-point thriller earlier this year.
