Melbourne: Tully Smyth says HelloFresh delivery was stolen from front door

Melbourne influencer says her HelloFresh delivery was stolen from her front door by ‘Chapel Street drunks’

A Melbourne influencer has claimed her HelloFresh delivery was stolen from outside her front door over the weekend.

Tully Smyth, 34, woke up on Sunday morning to discover her meal kit, containing ingredients and recipes, had mysteriously vanished from her porch overnight.

The former Big Brother star hit out at the culprits on Instagram, saying she hoped they were actually hungry and in need of food, and not simply thieving ‘drunks’.

‘To the people that stole my @hellofreshau box last night: I hope you really needed the food and weren’t just a couple of drunk idiots coming home from Chapel Street,’ she wrote.

‘Because that box brings me so much joy. So I hope you were just hungry and not a**holes,’ added Tully, who is an ambassador for HelloFresh.

The Chapel Street precinct is known for its rowdy nightlife and bustling foot traffic.

Tully, who became a full-time influencer after finding fame on Big Brother in 2013, has been spruiking HelloFresh for several years.

In October, she said receiving her meal kit was the ‘highlight of her day’.

‘I honestly look forward to it… I pop some jazz on, push [my boyfriend] Daniel out of the kitchen and really enjoy my new-found love of cooking,’ she wrote next to a sponsored video of herself preparing a meal.

Tully regularly promotes a wide variety of products, including vibrators, drinks, mattresses and fashion brands.

However, she recently said she draws the line at promoting egg freezing.

She revealed on her podcast last year how she ‘burst into tears’ when she received an email from a PR company asking her to team up with a fertility clinic.

‘The thought that this PR team was sitting around a desk on a Monday morning, spit-balling who they could reach out to and my name was written on that white board,’ she explained.

‘”Oh, that girl from Big Brother, she’s been single for about seven years. She’s sad and lonely. She’s a spinster. She can’t get a date. She wants babies.”

‘I was like, “Oh, my God, a whole team has sat together and thought I’d be a great candidate and that is f**king depressing.”‘
