‘I feel like I’m owning it’: On Sunday, 48-year-old Melissa Doyle will grace the cover of Stellar magazine in a particularly daring photoshoot
‘Sneak peak. Thanks to the team Stella, I’m honoured to grace your cover,’ Melissa captioned the phone.
Posing on a chair, the veteran newsreader looks particularly youthful as she shows off a hint of cleavage in black lingerie.
She draws attention to her trim physique in a Camilla and Marc slip dress featuring a low neckline and a black lace bralette.
Melissa completes her daring look with a Viktoria And Woods grey cardigan.
The front page headline, ‘I feel like I’m owning it’, teases an in-depth interview about Melissa’s career following her departure from Sunrise five years ago.
Earlier this month, Melissa revealed she was once told by an industry executive that she was ‘too ordinary’ for television.
Speaking on Nova’s In Her Own Words podcast about sexism in the workplace, she revealed she had once been shut down by a male colleague.
‘He said to me, “You’ll never be a presenter – you just don’t have it”,’ she recalled.
‘You don’t have the looks, you don’t have the voice, just stick to being an ordinary journalist and be happy with that.’
