Melton Lotto & TSG in Melbourne declared the luckiest newsagent in Australia after TattsLotto win
A newsagent has earned a new nickname after selling a whopping 62 division one winning lottery tickets.
Melton Lotto & TSG on Melbourne’s western outskirts has been in business for two decades and has sold more division one winners than any other newsagent in Australia.
Eight division one winners have stemmed from newsagent owner Phong Thai, aka ‘Mr Lucky’ in the past three years alone.
The latest victor to reap the spoils was a Melton dad who is now ‘living the dream’ after he walked away with $1.7 million in last Saturday’s TattsLotto.
He had played the same numbers in Saturday’s draw that he had been using for the last 35 years.

‘I have had them for so long, I’ve forgotten what they even mean,’ he told The Lott.
‘This is incredible. I’ll be able to pay off my daughter’s house and invest the rest … This is the best day of my life.’
Initially the Melton man didn’t realise he had won because his entry was unregistered, meaning lottery officials could not contact him until he came forward.
He was one of three division one winners last Saturday.
Melton Lotto & TSG Owner Phong Thai couldn’t believe the news when he heard that he had just sold yet another winning ticket.
‘I’m stoked! I can’t believe we’ve sold yet another division one winning entry,’ he said.
‘Many of my customers call me “Mr Lucky” because of how many division one winning entries our outlet has sold.’
‘I’m sure many customers will feel inspired with hopes they’re the next division one winner to take home a million-dollar prize.’

Nextra Forest Lake News in Forest Lake, south-west of Brisbane, sold two division one winners in nine months when one player scored $1 million in the Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto.
The last division one ticket was from the separate Powerball draw in December where the winner walked away with a $33 million prize in December.
Jenny Ford, who manages the store, said she was ‘over the moon’ after her newsagent was linked to the second win.
‘Who would’ve known it would happen less than a year after our previous win,’ she said.
‘We sold a (winning) entry in the $100 million Powerball draw … I don’t think we will ever be able to beat that but hopefully we do!
A second division one winning entry came from SA.
