And it seems that the 69-year-old Vogue editor-in-chief was right to wary about what might end up on the red carpet at the glittering event, because it has proven to be a rather astonishing array of ensembles, ranging from the wonderful and wacky to the downright weird and awkward.
Surprisingly, fashion superstar Ashley Graham, 31, was one of the early misses of the night, arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in a garish Gucci blazer, which was paired with some nude tights that made it look as though she had completely forgotten to wear pants.
