Kill Bill star Michael Madsen has filed for a domestic violence prevention restraining order against his estranged wife, DeAnna Madsen amid their ongoing divorce.
In court documents, obtained by People, the actor requested the protective order for him and their youngest son.
The former couple’s 18-year-old son, Luke, ‘is listed in the filing under other protected people,’ according to the outlet.
The exes also share a son named Kalvin, 27. In 2022, the pair’s third child, Hudson, died by suicide at just 26 while stationed in Hawaii for the U.S. Army.
On September 17, he filed for divorce from DeAnna, who he accused of abuse, after 28 years of marriage.

Madsen filed the divorce petition on Tuesday, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ and adding that he actually has been separated since January 2022.
He claimed in the petition that he believes DeAnna’s, ‘neglect, drinking and alcoholism’ contributed to Hudson taking his own life.
The actor also alleged he has been in a, ‘abusive, co-dependent, and toxic relationship’ with DeAnna, which culminated in his domestic violence arrest last month.
In August, Madsen was arrested at his home in Malibu, California, after he allegedly ‘shoved’ his wife and locked her out of his home.
He was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge but was released on $20,000 bond.
His attorney Perry Wander insisted that his client was ‘not guilty of domestic violence.’
He also accused DeAnna of ‘breaking into’ Madsen’s home on Sunday, when the alleged incident occurred.
‘He confronted her and asked her to leave,’ Wander said, claiming that this ‘has been an ongoing problem.’

‘Michael has shown immense compassion and restraint during this period towards his estranged wife. He’s definitely not guilty of domestic violence,’ Wander concluded.
In response, DeAnna issued her own statement, alleging that her estranged spouse is ‘struggling with personal issues.’
‘Myself and our children have been supporting him to the best of our ability. We would request privacy at this time,’ she said.
Just a few weeks later, the case against Madsen was tossed out by the Los Angeles District Attorney due to ‘insufficient evidence.’

‘We are thrilled that Michael Madsen is able to put this behind him and look forward to our continued collaboration with more great things coming from this veteran and respected actor,’ his representative said in a statement.
Madsen is best known for his collaborations with Quentin Tarantino such as Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill.
