Michael Turnbull thanks fans for support after quitting Bachelor In Paradise

He quit Bachelor In Paradise on Monday night, after being rejected by love interest Lisa Hyde.

And after the episode, Michael Turnbull released a candid video addressing his exit.

Taking to Instagram, the star spoke directly to the camera.

‘Hey guys, I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your wonderful messages and support throughout the show,’ he began.  

‘Your comments and messages each week made my experience more memorable and special and I really am so humbled to have had you with me on this journey.’

‘For the guys and girls still in Paradise, I wish you all the best. Obviously it was my time to leave but for you, I want you to go and have some wonderful experiences and hopefully find the one in Paradise and come out even stronger.’

He continued: ‘For me, it’s time to find love in the real world, so my fingers are crossed and I hope I find the one.’

‘I’m an old-school romantic, so I’m certainly not going to give up.’

‘Once again, thank you for all your support, it meant the world to me and I am so grateful. Thank you and I guess I’ll see you around.’

During Monday night’s episode, Lisa brutally rejected Michael, saying: ‘I’m not the girl for you,’ before he lamented the fact that he ‘missed out’ on love again.

‘I’m the guy that missed out again,’ former Bachelorette star Michael said, as he left the tropical paradise.
