And on Sunday, Michelle Bridges appeared on 60 Minutes in a tell-all interview where she opened up about some of the controversy she’s found herself in.
Speaking to journalist Allison Langdon, the 47-year-old opened up about the backlash surrounding her previous claims that she had ‘never met a morbidly obese person that was happy.’

‘I was talking in the context of their health and well being and yes, it caused a real stir,’ she admitted.
‘Shaming or accusing or vilifying or making people feel unimportant or unheard or invisible is not my mission, it is not what I’m about, it never has been.’

From there, she made her TV debut as a health and fitness guru for Nine’s Mornings show, she then landed a role as a trainer on The Biggest Loser.
It was on the set of the show that she met her partner Steve ‘Commando’ Willis.
After finding love with each other, the pair went on to have their first child Axel when Michelle was aged 44.

Recalling the controversy on 60 Minutes, she said at the time she wasn’t aware of how rare her ‘unique’ miracle baby actually was and that she still believes her lifestyle ‘was probably a contributing factor.’
‘I can’t say that that’s the only factor,’ she said.
‘I think that it was fortunate and quite extraordinary now from what I’m told, I had no idea, I had no idea that it was as unique as I’m told it was.’
