Mick Jagger shared a touching post in tribute to his late partner L’ Wren Scott – on what would have been her 54th birthday.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the Rolling Stones star, 74, simply penned: ‘Happy birthday L’Wren. MJ’, alongside a stunning picture of the fashion designer.

The stylist – who was in a relationship with the singer for 13 years – was found dead in her New York flat while Mick was on tour with his legendary band in 2014.

L’Wren – real name Laura Bambrough – established a successful high-end fashion label, which was a favourite among stars such as Madonna, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, and Naomi Campbell.

However, following the news of her death, it emerged her business had been experiencing financial problems.

Mick – who has posted birthday tributes ever since her tragic death – was jeered for his post in 2016, with one fan stating: ‘While Jagger’s online tribute was warmly received by most fans, some took a more cynical view. ‘LOL [Laugh Out Loud], you guys had already split up when she died, anyway.’

The Start Me Up hitmaker is currently in a relationship with dancer Melanie Hamrick, 31, and share son Deveraux, one.

It was later revealed that had first met backstage at a Rolling Stones concert in Tokyo on March 6, two weeks before Scott’s death.

Shortly after her death, the belter posted a statement on his loss to his official website.

The star said: ‘I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.’

‘We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for our selves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.’

‘I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her… Mick.’
