Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s wedding album appears to perfectly mirror pictures from when they first met filming The Last Song in 2009.
The couple, who married in a secret ceremony on December 23 at their Tennessee home, played troubled teens falling in love in the coming of age drama.
And despite a decade passing between the two events, their first kiss as husband and wife looked just as passionate as their early on-screen romance.

Despite having just met, sparks flew in Georgia in June 2009 on set of The Last Song, the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ bestselling novel.
Miley, who was almost 17 at the time, was immediately smitten with Liam, then aged 19 and a relative newcomer in Hollywood.
Liam, now 26, reflected on their early kissing scenes in 2012, saying: ‘When you start, you want to be professional.
‘But when you’re filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you’re not human if you don’t feel something.’

In 2010, Miley also spoke about their first meeting on set, which took place a year after she split with her childhood sweetheart Nick Jonas.
‘[Liam has] become my best friend in the whole wide world. I love him,’ she said.
‘He really respects me for who I am because coming from Australia, he really didn’t know me as the celebrity I am here.
‘I got to tell him about myself on my own terms and my own way. He had no preconceived notion of who I was supposed to be.’

The couple spent several years on and off, with many of Miley’s songs on her 2013 album Bangerz rumoured to be about her split with Liam.

However, Miley and Liam successfully reconciled in 2016 and have been going strong ever since.

Miley took to social media on Wednesday to share the first official pictures from the couple’s private wedding at their Tennessee home.
’10 years later…,’ she captioned one picture, which appeared to be a reference to how long they have known each other.
‘This is probably our one millionth kiss,’ she wrote alongside another.
