Miley Cyrus was ‘hurt’ by her sister-in-law Elsa Pataky saying that Liam Hemsworth ‘deserves much better’ following their break-up
Miley Cyrus would have been ‘hurt’ by her sister-in-law Elsa Pataky’s recent comments about her split from Liam Hemsworth, say friends.
Elsa – who is married to Liam’s brother, Chris – said at a press conference in Madrid last month that the Hunger Games star, 29, ‘deserves much better’ than Miley.
While the Wrecking Ball hitmaker has yet to respond, sources say she still cares deeply about what the Hemsworth family thinks of her.

A friend of Miley’s told Woman’s Day: ‘Elsa saying she wasn’t good enough for Liam will hurt her hard.’
The rivalry between the two women began on November 21, when Hola! magazine reported what Elsa, 43, had said about Miley at a press conference in Madrid.
When asked how Liam was coping with his recent marriage split, she replied: ‘My brother-in-law, well… after a relationship that you’ve dedicated ten years to, he’s a little bit down, but he’s coping well, he’s a strong boy and he deserves the best.’

‘I think he deserves much better,’ she added.
It was a surprising move from Elsa, who had been close friends with Miley, 26, during the pop star’s decade-long relationship with Liam.
The pair even got matching tattoos as a tribute to their friendship three years ago.
Miley and Elsa would often spend time together in Byron Bay, the coastal town in Australia where the Hemsworths own several properties.

They documented their various girls’ trips on Instagram, and appeared to share a close bond despite their 17-year age gap.
Miley and Liam announced their split in August, after just eight months of marriage.
She later embarked on a brief romance with U.S. reality star Kaitlynn Carter, but they broke up within a few weeks. She is now with Australian musician Cody Simpson, 22.
Meanwhile, Liam is believed to be dating 22-year-old actress Maddison Brown.
