A city café known for its outrageous menu items has shocked yet again with a meal described as an ‘Italian-Mexican fusion’ and a ‘beautiful monstrosity’ by fans.

Dubbed Fettuccine Carbonara Chicken Tacos by the team at Bondi’s Milky Lane the huge feast has definitely left foodies divided.

Tortilla-and-taco-shell-free the $20, 1181 calorie, feast features a deep-fried piece of chicken wrapped around creamy lengths of pasta.

It is finished off with a dusting of cheese and chives and has been declared ‘the best edition’ of the ‘devilish’ dish to date.

‘We have been saving some of the best new specials for the tail end of the year when all of our stores were open again and it’s time for lift off,’ the Milky Lane team declared on Instagram alongside a video of the tacos.

‘We’ve tweaked this carbonara recipe so many tomes to make sure it is super cream and cheesy,’ they said.

‘You’ve tried them before as a special but never like this,’ they warned.

Fans quickly declared the dish ‘mind blowing’ as well as ‘disturbing’ with one recommending fellow diners ‘have a bucket ready’ at dinner time.

‘I’ve never been so excited and disgusted at the same time,’ one man said, tagging a friend.

‘I have no idea what this is but I feel like I need it,’ admitted another.

While one woman said she felt a heart-attack coming on after looking at the photo despite being excited.

One fitness fanatic said they would willingly sacrifice a month’s worth of cheat meals to sample the taco.

Another noted the dish was ‘the carb load they have been searching for’ and the meal looked like ‘all their dreams’ come true.

Thousands of people left comments on the cafe’s social media, weighing in on the newest limited-edition menu item.

The tacos are available throughout November at all ten of the popular cafe’s stores.
