Milo says Sydney Opera House is ‘world’s ugliest building’

Right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos is ‘ready to offend Australia’, he said as he arrived in Sydney ahead of his first speaking tour of the country.

And just minutes after landing on Wednesday morning, the controversial author and political commentator started with one of our most cherished landmarks.

‘The Opera House is a grotesque carbuncle masquerading as an architectural masterpiece,’ Yiannopoulos told Daily Mail Australia.

‘It’s the ugliest building in the entire world. I have no desire to go and sight-see down there.’

The 33-year-old British-born activist said Australians ought to get used to his intentionally provocative dialogue as he kicks off his seven-show national tour.

‘The ultimate sin of contemporary culture is ”niceness”. Everybody trying to be nice and sweet and not offend each other,’ he said.

‘When someone turns around to me and says they are offended or upset by something I’ve said, I will tell a joke twice as offensive.

‘Or I will make it twice as uncomfortable for them because I don’t give a s*** about people’s feelings.’

Yiannopoulos has previously likened feminism to cancer, Islam to AIDS and has spoken out against gay rights and the Black Lives Matter movement despite being openly homosexual and married to an African American man.

He has been banned from entering government buildings in Western Australia and the Greens have officially requested his invitation to speak at Parliament House be revoked.

Daily Mail Australia understands the first show of his tour was cancelled because the owner of the venue didn’t agree with his outspoken views.

But Yiannopoulos denied that was the case and said ‘it was just one of those things’ and there was ‘nothing untoward’.
