Mindy Kaling reminisces with throwback Thursday snap of The Office cast from 2005: ‘I couldn’t believe how young we all look!’

Six-time Emmy nominee Mindy Kaling reposted a throwback Thursday snap of a viewing party for The Office that her castmate Angela Kinsey hosted at her home in 2005.

The 43-year-old Massachusetts native – who boasts 19M social media followers – wrote on Instagram: ‘Ange posted this yesterday and I couldn’t believe how young we all look and also how hot Steve [Carell] was.’

Not only did Mindy (born Vera Chokalingam) play Dunder Mifflin staffer Kelly Kapoor, she also served as co-executive producer and staff writer for NBC’s mockumentary sitcom.

On Wednesday, Kaling’s castmate Jenna Fischer also shared a snap of a viewing party she hosted at her home, gushing: ‘The tradition of gathering and watching the show together each week went on for years.

‘I think @paulfeig and Laurie Feig get the award for hosting the most of these but it seems like everyone hosted at some point.’

Both Jenna and Angela host a weekly Earwolf podcast called Office Ladies where they reminisce about all things The Office on Wednesdays.

Greg Daniels’ critically-acclaimed show was a remake of BBC Two’s iconic series of the same name co-created by and starring Ricky Gervais, which aired for two seasons spanning 2002-2003.

The two-time SAG Award winner and her Sex Lives of College Girls co-creator Justin Noble will unveil the second season of their critically-acclaimed half-hour dramedy sometime in November on HBO Max.

Acting-wise, Mindy will next reprise her recurring role as morning news anchor Audra in the third season of Jay Carson’s newsroom drama The Morning Show, which premieres sometime this fall on Apple TV+.
