Miranda Otto made a style statement as she attended the Sydney premiere of Stan’s new Aussie film The Portable Door on Thursday.

The Australian actress, 55, looked glamorous in a strapless red dress as she posed alongside her co-star Sam Neill at the event.

Miranda accessorised the red frock, which featured a black floral print, with a pair of black stilettos.

She styled her long blonde locks straight and wore a natural makeup palette to the premiere.

Meanwhile, Sam looked dapper in a black tuxedo, a white buttoned shirt and brown shoes.

The filmmaker and actress left her short blonde locks out and held a black bag as she smiled at the event.

Set in London, the film features The OA’s Patrick Gibson as a low-paid intern who discovers mysterious goings-on at a secretive corporation.

Gibson’s character, Paul, bonds with fellow intern Sophie, played by Sophie Wilde, after he discovers a magical portable door that allows him to travel through time and space.

An exciting trailer gives fans a taste of what to expect.

The preview begins as Paul meets the strange but charismatic CEO of the company, Humphrey Wells (Waltz), and his villainous side-kick, Dennis (Sam Neill).

Not long after joining the firm, Paul discovers that not all is what it seems and is soon butting heads with management, including snooty Countess Judy (Miranda Otto).

Later, Paul and Sophie learn the corporation is using magic for sinister purposes.

At one point in the trailer, a crazed-looking Humphrey declares: ‘Imagine what we can do to the masses!’

Featuring dazzling special effects, the film co-stars Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians), Jessica De Gouw (The Secrets She Keeps) and Rachel House (Heartbreak High).

Also featured in the cast is Arka Das from the box-office hit Lion, and Damon Herriman from the Stan Original Series The Tourist.

Filmed in Queensland, The Portable Door is directed by Australian filmmaker Jeffrey Walker (The Commons) and adapted by screenwriter Leon Ford.
