A missing blind man spent 33 hours in the woods in freezing temperatures before being found by a police drone on Saturday.
Enfield Police in Connecticut were contacted by the family of the man after he had not been seen in over 24 hours.
CNN reports that the man is 62-year-old Richard Doty, who Enfield police had issued a missing persons alert for on Saturday morning.
He was taken to St Francis Hospital in Hartford for evaluation after surviving overnight in nine-degree temperatures.

A statement for the department said that it was ‘unusual’ for the family not to be able to contact Doty and they became concerned when nobody had seen him since 10am on Friday.
They were contacted by Doty’s brother at around 8.43am on Saturday and neighbors confirmed they had not seen him since Friday morning.
Believing it was likely Doty left his home and became disorientated, a police drone was called in and the man was found after a 30-minute search.
‘Enfield PD Officers responded to take the initial report and through investigation and knowledge of the victims past behavior determined that it was likely that he walked away from the home and became disoriented,’ the statement said.

Doty was brought to St Francis Hospital after spending the night in freezing temperatures
Due to the low temperatures overnight there were concerns about hypothermia and the Vernon CT Police Department was called in the assist with a drone pilot.
Doty was found hidden from view down an embankment that was just 100 yards into the wood.
He confirmed that he had become disorientated due to his medical condition and had been there overnight.
Drone footage from the rescue shows emergency services bringing a stretcher through the woods to the spot were the drone had confirmed his was hidden and he was taken for treatment on a stretcher.
