Police are treating the woman’s death like a homicide following an autopsy.

She was last seen by her husband Lynn at their Nashville home and reported missing by her daughter on Saturday evening.

According to Nash County Sheriff Keith Stone, there had been a ‘domestic issue’ between the couple about a year ago.

‘There had been concerns between the husband at one time and Mrs. Keel but there has been nothing lately that has been reported on that,’ he said at a press conference, according to Heavy.com.

Stone described the incidents as being ‘small domestic issues’ and communication problems.’

Diane’s friends and family also claimed that the woman was working on a divorce and had already met with a lawyer, WTVD-TV reports.

Mr Keel had been taken to the sheriff’s office for questioning and to possibly identify the body, officials said at a news conference on Tuesday. He was released.

It is believed that he is driving a 1998 Chevy pick-up truck that is said to be gold in color. It has North Carolina license plates BBM-9232.
