Working as a model for the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue, Guess and Paris Couture Week, Alyssa Riley has to stay in peak physical shape.

But even by the standards of models, the New Yorker has a strict daily diet.

Speaking to Husskie, Alyssa revealed what she eats each day to stay in shape – and it’s not for the faint of heart.

Upon waking, Alyssa said she will ‘always make a pot of coffee from a small coffee shop in Michigan’.

She’ll pair this with a fresh celery juice to hydrate and help detox her body.

Following a walk with her dog, Alyssa said she has a breakfast of steel cut oatmeal made with cinnamon, cashew milk, manuka honey and fresh berries.

‘Throughout the day I drink a lot of water, usually a litre plus, and will grab a black iced coffee midday to keep me going,’ she told the publication.

What is Alyssa Riley’s typical day on a plate?

* FIRST THING: Pot of coffee and fresh celery juice.

* BREAKFAST: Steel cut oatmeal made with cinnamon, cashew milk, manuka honey and fresh berries.

* MIDDAY: Black iced coffee.

* THROUGHOUT THE DAY: Plenty of water and homemade trail mix including roasted unsalted almonds, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, dark cocoa chocolate chips, raw cashews and raw pecans.

* LUNCH: Two hard boiled eggs, half an avocado and half a tomato. Olive oil, sea salt and black pepper.

* AFTERNOON: Probiotic supplement.

* DINNER: Baked salmon, red skin potatoes, sweet onion, zucchini and yellow squash. Olive oil, sea salt, black pepper and lemon juice.

* EVENING: Either a glass of white wine or a lemon water.

If she’s busy and running between castings and errands, the model also said she will carry a homemade trail mix with her.

Alyssa makes the mix ahead of a week of work, and uses roasted unsalted almonds, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, dark cocoa chocolate chips, raw cashews and raw pecans.

Her lunch is similarly organic, but also somewhat unachievable for the regular person.

‘My go-to lunch is two hard boiled eggs, half an avocado and half a tomato,’ Alyssa said.

She pairs this with a tablespoon of olive oil and sea salt and black pepper.

Following her lunch, the New York-based beauty said she will make time for a probiotic supplement – the only supplement she takes.

If she feels as though she’s getting sick, Alyssa will pep herself up with echinacea, zinc and vitamin C.

She will get her workout out of the way in the afternoon, favouring two to three classes from the Tracy Anderson method each week as well as ‘running three miles (4.8km) before or after work’.

Alyssa said she’ll ‘do a quick ab workout followed by a long stretch to lengthen my muscles’ in the early evening.

What is Alyssa’s typical exercise regime?

* Two or three Tracy Anderson classes each week.

* A run of three miles either before or after work.

* Quick ab workout in the early evening, followed by a long stretch to lengthen her muscles.

The model is a ‘big fan’ of early dinners, as she said if she eats early in the evening at about 6.30pm or 7pm, she is able to better digest her food.

Alyssa’s go-to meal is baked salmon with vegetables, such as two red skin potatoes, sweet onion, zucchini and yellow squash.

She’ll pair this with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper and lemon juice.

But if you thought the model’s diet was totally unattainable, you will be happy to hear one thing.

Depending on the day, Alyssa said she’ll pair her typical dinner either with a glass of white wine or a lemon water.

Her favourite guilty snacks are mochi or ice cream – which she goes out for ‘at least once a week’ during the summer.

Alyssa also loves salty snacks such as Veggie Straws in zesty ranch flavour.

Alyssa told Husskie that while she often eats clean during the week, at the weekends she lets herself relax a little bit.

Barbecues, cheeseburgers, corn on the cob, Aperol Spritz and roses are all part of her favourite weekend foods.
