A model, who was blinded in one eye after she was held hostage and beaten by her boyfriend, was saved by a selfie.
Martha Dolak, 31, from south London, secretly took a picture of her injuries and sent it to a friend during the 21-hour ordeal at the hands of her now-ex Michael Goodwin.
She had fractures to her face and skull, bleeding on the brain and permanent damage to her optical nerves.

Goodwin, 30, has now been jailed for four years and three months and Ms Dolak has spoken out and revealed how she escaped.
She told The Sun: ‘I went to the window to see if I could jump out safely but suddenly I felt an excruciating pain and remember nothing else.
‘I could have died if left without medical attention for much longer.’
Goodwin locked his partner of 18 months in his flat in Tooting after finding a text from her friend which told her to leave him.
After being knocked out, Ms Dolak woke up in severe pain and wasn’t able to move.
She took the selfie with her violent boyfriend still in the flat, but it was enough to spark a police response.

Goodwin took Ms Dolak to hospital and told her to tell doctors that she had fallen down the stairs.
But the victim later told police the truth and Goodwin was jailed at Kingston Crown Court.
