Model Sarah Murdoch steps out without her wedding ring in Sydney

Sarah Murdoch steps out without her wedding ring as she visits a Chemist Warehouse in Sydney after moving back to Australia with husband Lachlan and their children

Sarah Murdoch stepped out to grab some supplies at a Chemist Warehouse in Sydney on Tuesday.

The former Australia’s Next Top Model host kept things casual in a pair of blue jeans and a simple black top.

The 49-year-old went for a low-key look by leaving most of her jewellery at home, including her wedding ring.

She kept a low profile behind a pair of dark sunglasses and accessorised her look with a black Bottega Veneta cassette bag worth $2800.

Looking like your average shopper, Sarah carried two plastic bags full of items from the budget store.

Sarah and her Fox CEO husband Lachlan Murdoch relocated their family from Los Angeles to Sydney in March.

And it seems the couple, along with their three children – sons Kalan Alexander, 16, Aidan Patrick, 14, and daughter Aerin Elisabeth, 10 – are here to stay.

In April, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that the Murdochs will be in Australia ‘for years, not months, as initially believed.’

The family, who are based in their Bellevue Hill compound, Le Manoir, have settled into life in Sydney after Sarah was seen at the Royal Easter Show in Olympic Park with her children.

The publication also confirmed that the Murdoch kids are enrolled in Sydney schools.

While no reason was given for the family’s return to Australia, a report claimed that it was the political climate in the US that helped make the decision for the family to leave LA in favour of their Sydney home.

In April, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that the family ‘felt the cold winds of political change’ when Joe Biden assumed power over Donald Trump, after the family-owned Fox News appeared to favour the Republican Party throughout the election campaign.

The publication also claimed things ‘got pretty rough’ for their children at school.

A source said: ‘The school communities here are very close knit, and it extends into the wider families and the circles and parties they all go to. That Hollywood set is very pro-Democratic.

‘They are mostly big fundraisers for Biden, so you can imagine how well it went down when one of their classmates’ dads is at the helm of the biggest anti-Biden machine in the country.’

Despite having their life based in Los Angeles for years, where Lachlan is Executive Chairman and CEO of Fox Corporation, the couple has always maintained their Bellevue Hill abode.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Fox News corporation for comment.
