Molly-Mae Hague is mum-shamed by trolls after failing to put daughter Bambi in a car seat

Molly-Mae Hague has been cruelly mum-shamed for carrying her daughter Bambi in her arms while in the back of a black cab.

The former Love Island star, 23, took her five-week-old daughter on a trip to London on Tuesday and shared snaps from the outing to her Instagram.

In one snap, Molly-Mae, who shares Bambi with partner Tommy Fury, also 23, held the tot in her arms to let her look out the window as they were taken to their hotel.

The law states that in taxis and minicabs children can travel without a car seat if the driver doesn’t provide a correct one.

Children must travel on a rear seat and without a seat belt if they’re under the age of three and with one if they’re older.

But unimpressed Instagram users quickly swarmed the comments to criticise the new mother for not using a car seat.

One user wrote: ‘Using your baby as a photo prop in a moving taxi instead of keeping her as safe as possible in a car seat. Lovely influencing there, let’s hope other people don’t copy!!!’

Another said: ‘Safety. Nope not here. It’s all about the pics baby,’ while a third added: ‘Omg Bambi should be in a car seat’.

A fourth wrote: ‘You’re my fave person, literally adore you and your ways but… Please don’t get the baby out the car seat in a taxi. They [could] still crash or get crashed into. Better to be safe than sorry always’.

A fifth user added: ‘Baby needs to be strapped in a car seat’.

However it wasn’t all doom and gloom as other users came to Molly-Mae’s defence.

One said: ‘I see the Karen’s are out in force. Nothing better to do than put a new mum down like being a new mum isn’t hard enough.’

Another said: ‘All you people think you know it all! Leave Molly alone and stop trolling this new mum and everything she does.

‘It may be things you wouldn’t do yourself for your reasons but Molly can make decisions about her own child.’

A third wrote: ‘You can clearly see the car seat in the taxi! She obviously took baby out when the car was stationary’.

The couple welcomed their first child last month and have since shared plenty of snaps and clips of their life as new parents.

Molly-Mae admitted she had a ‘hard start’ to parenting when Tommy was away at a training camp and for his Saudi Arabia fight.

He returned home to the UK on Monday following his victorious boxing match against Jake Paul after his daughter Bambi was born in late January.

Despite his victory, Tommy said he’d be up for a re-match after the YouTuber, 26, publicly challenged him to another fight.

‘Jake Paul is a good guy at the end of the day, and you have to do what you can to sell a fight. He got in there to prove that he could fight and he trained hard for that. Anyone who can do that is a force to be reckoned with.

Appearing on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain while sporting a plaster over his left eyebrow, Tommy said: ‘The emotions were so high because of everything I went through over the last three years.

‘Everyone was saying that I wasn’t going to do it and that I didn’t want to do it. I went out there against all odds and came out with the win.

‘A re-match is something that I would do. It is something that I believe in. We only did eight rounds. I’m ready to go out there and do a re-match. I owe that to myself.’

He added: ‘I just want to support my family. I’ve got a little girl now, and I just want to make sure she is happy.’

On Molly-Mae not watching the fight, he added: ‘I knew in the build-up that she would never be able to watch it because of how scared she gets.

‘She’s an amazing mother. She’s had a hard start because I was in training camp. This win and the fight was for them two.’

Molly-Mae recently admitted the couple had some ‘tough times recently behind closed doors’ as the pre-fight pressure impacted family life.

In a heartfelt post, the influencer spoke about how proud she was of Tommy’s achievement and admitted the couple had some tough times recently.

She said: ‘DADDYS HOME ✨ From day 1 of this fight being mentioned two and a half years ago, I backed this boy.

‘It definitely wasn’t a straight or easy road. We had some seriously not so good days behind closed doors… but Sunday night made it all worth it.

‘The good guy doesn’t always finish last. I am so proud of you.’
