A Florida man snapped photos that show the unusual moment a crocodile cruises across a canal on a pool noodle.

Victor Perez shared an Instagram post August 6 from Key Largo that read: ‘Crock on a float #keylargo #rockemnreelem #floating #keyslife’

He followed up in another post Monday to write: ‘Another pic of the same Crock on a noodle #keylargo #keyslife #croc’ 

The photos instantly attracted attention from his followers and went viral, as social media users were curious to know how the crocodile got on the float and why.

Perez spoke to the Miami Herald this week to explain what he witnessed.

‘I’m on my balcony… and all of a sudden, I see this noodle and there’s a crocodile hanging off of it. I had to get my phone,’ he first told the Herald.

‘It was just cruising along, and I was like, “OK, where’s the swimmer?”‘ he laughed. ‘What happened to the guy with the noodle?’

Perez said on Instagram the photos were taken at the mile mark 105 at the Overseas Highway and that the 113-mile roadway connects the Florida Keys.
