Moment Grandpa accidentally films himself while trying to capture his grandson’s marriage proposal 

A sweet grandpa in New Mexico proved that he wasn’t the most technically savvy when he failed to capture a marriage proposal for his grandson.

John Hart was ready to capture his grandson’s special moment when proposing at the Sandia Peak Tramway in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on June 28. 

His other grandson – Jayce Flauding – passes Hart the camera, who immediately starts filming his own face.

Soon the proposal is underway and Hart can be seen getting more and more excited.   

‘Oh that’s so cool,’ he says as the crowd claps for the newly engaged couple. 

Hart wishes the couple ‘congratulations’ before offering some special words to the groom-to-be.   

‘Christopher I didn’t know that it was going to happen but I sure said something,’ he asserts.

‘I wanted to tell you so bad,’ his grandson responds out of view of the camera as the clip still focuses on Hart.

Hart tells his grandson to ‘give her that ring and give her the biggest smile man’ and continues smiling at the scene. 

With a few more congratulatory ‘Woohoos’ Hart films more as his family starts to notice the blunder he’s made.  

And as they rush to point out the very clear mistake, Hart can’t help but be adorably embarrassed by his snafu.  

‘You Jerk,’ he exclaims as the clip comes to a close.
