A heartbreaking video captured in a train in Chicago shows the moment a homeless and dingy immigrant family sleeps on the floor and seats.
Alexis Aguilar captured the footage at the CTA Blue Line Addison in the North Side of Chicago in September.
In the clip, a young girl can be seen face down, sleeping on the floor, with her feet covered in sut.
Aguliar told the Chicago Tribune: ‘When I saw a barefoot girl lie down on the floor of the passway (of the train), barefoot and cold, trying to sleep, my heart broke and I knew something was wrong.’
Aguilar said the parents and their kids, who are between the ages of 7-13, appeared as though they hadn’t bathed in days.

The passenger attempted to talk to the adults, but they could not speak English – and she is not fluent in Spanish.
One man who viewed the video on social media said he also saw the family outide in the Logan Square neighborhood.
The family told him they recently departed their residence, where deportations were seemingly increasing.
After the video went viral on social media, Aguilar and several other Good Samaritans tried to help the family out financially.
The family received more than 14,000 in donation money via GoFundMe. Aguilar, however, newly announced Thursday they will not be accepting the money.

Aguilar shared the update to the crowdfunding page on Thursday.
‘It is with a heavy heart that I inform all of you that the mother has decided to not follow the requirements to legally accept this monetary donation… the mom has decided to walk away with her children and has ceased all communication with all people attempting to help.
‘I know all of you have been faithful in following this story to make sure they land on their feet. It’s regrettable that this is a case where you can only lead a horse to water, but cannot force them to drink.
‘I am deeply saddened for these children as they are the ones who suffer. Please continue to pray for them , as they are the ones exposed to gross neglect.’
She said GoFundMe will be issuing refunds to all who donated.
She added: ‘Since I cannot choose between who wants their donation returned or who wants its forwarded, I will leave that to your own discretion.
‘Thank you so much for following and for your beautiful and generous gift. I hope this instance doesn’t affect the way you choose to give in the future. God bless you all.’
