Moment reveller heading home from the Notting Hill Carnival is battered

This is the moment a man and woman were brutally assaulted on a train after returning home from Notting Hill carnival.

The pair of revellers were accused of throwing food at a fellow passenger before they were attacked.

In a video published to Facebook, a woman approached the pair asking if they had chucked a sandwich at her.

After they denied the act, which was not caught on camera, she told them: ‘Don’t make me take of my wig, I will punch you into next week.’

In the video, the attacker then takes her wig off and grabs hold of the white woman and repeatedly punches her in the head

One of the alleged victims – a woman wearing a pineapple shirt – argued back to the woman.

In the video, the attacker then takes her wig off and grabs hold of the white woman and repeatedly punches her in the head.

The alleged victim’s companion appears to try and pull the woman off when a hooded man intervenes.

The hooded male gets the man – who is not fighting back – into a headlock and wrestles him to the ground.

Commuters appeared unphased by the display, with two middle-aged men leaving the carriage rather than helping the victims.

Eventually a commuter split up the two woman, who continued arguing.

British Transport Police said they were aware of the incident but no arrests have been made.

British Transport Police have been made aware of the incident after it was widely shared online.
