A young girl was lucky to escape any serious injury after a bird flew into her face while she was on a high speed roller coaster and it was all caught on camera

Her friend looks on in shock before both are eventually distracted by the roller coaster’s twists and turns.

In the moments after being struck by the bird the girl is visibly shaken and screams as the ride continues.

She was left with feathers hanging from her back and a beak scratch on her right shoulder.

The video was posted to Facebook on Sunday and has already garnered 109,000 views and over 1000 comments.

‘Omg that poor bird,’ one user wrote under the video.

‘Never ever going on a roller coaster,’ another added.

‘Can’t hear her voice but can tell exactly what she was saying! That bird omg I would have a heart attack,’ another wrote.

The DC Rivals roller coaster is described as the tallest, longest and fastest HyperCoaster in the Southern Hemisphere.

It has an 89 degree drop and reaches top speeds of 115km/h with the option of also riding it backwards.

The footage was captured by the ride’s ‘fast video’ feature which films the entire experience from a small camera installed in front of each seat.

Right as the coaster had completed a sharp drop and began a steep climb the ibis is seen crashing into part of the young girls seat and then into her face before it falls away
