Moon Knight trailer with first look at the new TV series

Marvel Studios gave fans watching the NFL Super Wild Card game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams a treat with the first trailer for Moon Knight.

It was also confirmed that the show will debut on the Disney Plus streaming service on March 30. 

The trailer offers the first look at the show based on the Marvel Comics character created by writer Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin, which debuted in 1975.

The trailer begins with ‘Steven’ (Oscar Isaac) laying in bed with a Rubix Cube that he tosses in the air.

He tells a woman on the phone at a place called Staying Awake that he has a sleeping disorder where he, ‘can’t’ tell the difference between my waking life and dreams. 

He  then suddenly wakes up and springs out of bed and starts running but his ankle is chained to the bedpost as he falls to the ground.

Ethan Hawke’s character Arthur Harrow, who seems to attract a crowd, is heard saying, ‘It must be difficult, the voices in your head,’ as the whole crowd bows before Arthur.

Oscar as Marc: The show stars Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector, a former Marine and CIA operative who becomes a mercenary, though he has complicated feelings about it

Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) wrote and developed the series, with Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab and Synchronic duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing the six-episode series.

There have also been rumors that surfaced last month that iconic actor/filmmaker George Clooney is directing an episode, which would mark his first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

Isaac and Hawke are joined by Gaspard Ulliel and May Calamawy in the cast, with Isaac also serving as an executive producer.

In addition to leading the series, Isaac is also serving as an executive producer.

Moon Knight is expected to be the first new Marvel Cinematic Universe series dropping this year, with at least three more shows dropping in 2022.

They also have Ms. Marvel, starring Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a.k.a. Ms. Marvel, expected in mid-2022.

Also expected for mid-2022 is She-Hulk, starring Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who can also turn herself into the She-Hulk like Bruce Banner.

Slated for late 2022 is Secret Invasion, which has Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Christopher McDonald and Carmen Ejogo in unspecified roles.

The studio will also release the highly-anticipated The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special in December 2022.
