A motorcycle rider who was hit by a lorry in east China has survived the accident thanks to his helmet. 

The truck was making a right turn at a busy junction in Ningbo, Zhejiang province when it knocked over the man on the moped and ran him over.

Horrifying footage shows the rider lying on the ground after being hit as the lorry’s rear-right wheel mows over his left shoulder and then his head.

The man is left lying motionless on the ground and is rushed to hospital.

He suffered no bleeding in the brain and is expected to make a full recovery, Dr Pan said.
