Morning show moves: Fox and Friends host Abby Huntsman in talks to join The View

Abby Huntsman, co-host for Fox’s News popular Fox and Friends Weekend edition may be jumping networks to head over to ABC’s The View as their newest conservative pundit.
Huntsman, who is still under contract with the cable news network, is reportedly in talks for the slot which is being vacated by Sara Haines, according to HuffPost.
Haines is staying in the ABC family, but recently announced she is leaving The View to join up with Good Morning America’s host and ex-footballer Michael Strahan in the networks newly minted third hour, titled ‘GMA Day’ starting in September.

Fox & Friends Weekend could lose Huntsman to ABC’s The View as talks are underway with the network
GMA Day will air hours after the first two morning blocks, from 1pm to 2pm.
In a statement to HuffPo, Fox News said that Huntsman’s representatives at Creative Artists Agency ‘is actually in breach of the contract and is not even in the appropriate time window to shop Abby to another network.’
It is unclear when the conservative co-host’s contract is up with the cable news network.
Meghan McCain, Senator John McCain’s daughter, has been a steady right-wing voice on The View since last year, despite he, and her family’s personal animosity towards President Trump, who has repeatedly insulted her father’s war-hero status.
ABC has been gunning to add a second conservative voice to their View line-up.
Huntsman joined Fox News in 2015, and in the following year she became a Fox & Friends weekend co-host.
Previously she was a ‘HuffPost Live’ host and has done work on-air at MSNBC and ABC as well.
