A young mother has thanked a kind stranger who gifted her $20, a note and a ring as she stepped off the bus with her 11-month-old daughter.

Brittany Jackson, who is based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, was on her daily commute with her daughter Thea when she was approached by a father.

He handed the 18-year-old a number of gifts, held together by a silver ring, just as she walked off her bus.

‘To the kind soul that gave me this you honestly made my day and made me smile, you’re proof good people still do exist in this world,’ she wrote on Facebook after. 

The note read: ‘Keep pushing forwards. Motherhood = Goddess. From a dad’. 

Brittany isn’t sure why he decided to give her the generous gift but she feels as though he was ‘an angel sent from above’.

‘Honestly I’m not sure why this happened. He was such a kind soul,’ she told FEMAIL.

‘Also being a dad himself he knows what being a parent is like and knows there are some hard days.’

After admiring the silver ring with the green stone for the day, Brittany endeavoured to find out if it had any kind of hidden meaning.

‘I found out the ring he gave me has a malachite stone in it which means guardian,’ she said

She is currently wearing it on her index finger.

‘There is so much negativity and wrongdoing in the world and then you see something like this and know it’s not all bad,’ one person said.

‘What a beautiful gesture. Good people still exist,’ said another.
