Mother, 24, and toddler son missing from Moreton Bay, Queensland, travelling in Volkswagon Beetle

Fears for one-year-old baby and mother who could be driving a silver Beetle after disappearing a day ago

  • Ashleigh Weitzel, 24, and her one-year-old son were last seen on Wednesday 
  • Police hold serious concerns for their welfare, particularly due to the boy’s age
  • Anybody with information concerning their whereabouts should contact police

A young mother and her toddler son are missing after they disappeared on Wednesday afternoon.

Ashleigh Weitzel, 24, and her one-year-old son were last seen on High Street in the Moreton Bay region of Queensland at 4.30pm on November 13.

Police hold serious concerns for their welfare, particularly due to the boy’s age.

They say the incident is out of character for Ms Weitzel.

The mother-of-one is believed to be travelling in two cars, a Volkswagen beetle with Queensland registration 404SRR and a red Jeep Cherokee with Queensland registration 7ASH8.

She has long, brown hair with hazel eyes and is a slim build, police say. 

Anyone who has information in relation to their whereabouts are urged to contact police on 131 444.
