Mother and her four-month-old baby missing for nine days

Police are searching for a Victorian woman and her four-month-old child after they disappeared nine days ago.

Carmen Anne Villella, 35, and her daughter Alexandria were last seen at their Werribee home on Piovesan Lane on August 13.

Victoria Police said they have concerns for their welfare and were appealing for assistance from the public.

Police said the behaviour was out of character for Ms Villella and released her image in the hopes someone could assist their investigations.

The mother is described as being 148-150cm tall and of a stocky build.

She is bot believed to have a car with her and police said she may be using public transport to travel. 

Anyone who see Ms Villella or has information on her whereabout is asked to contact Werribee Police Station on 9742 9444.
