A mother and her 22-year-old son have been charged after she allegedly allowed him to taser his seven-year-old sister for misbehaving.
The pair, from Busby in Sydney’s south-west, were reported to police after the Year 3 girl told a school counsellor about multiple incidents of alleged abuse dating back to Christmas time.
The young girl first came forward on February 26 and told the school she was tasered by her brother because she had been ‘sooking’ during a trip to the supermarket with her mother, 45, in December, The Daily Telegraph reported.
During that incident, the girl said she was behaving badly and had been asking her mother to buy her things. The mother then called her son to complain about her daughter’s misconduct.

When the two arrived home, the man allegedly tasered his sister’s leg until she cried.
The mother then advised her son to throw out or sell the weapon, according to a police statement of facts tendered in court.
After the girl reported what happened to a counsellor at school, she told her mum and begged her not to tell anyone.
The mother then allegedly told her son, who in turn, tasered his sister again for ‘snitching,’ the publication reported.
The young girl went back to her school counsellor and said she was scared of her mum, at which point police were called and intervened.
When police arrived at the home later that day, the girl’s older brother, a cabinet maker, fled the property but was captured at a nearby park.
Authorities found a taser that looked like an iPhone and a cap gun in his bedroom drawer.
A Liverpool Court magistrate denied the man bail on Thursday saying he was at risk of interfering with his sister and his mother.
When interviewed by police, the mum denied knowing about the taser and having talking to her daughter about it. She was charged with using an offensive weapon to commit a serious indictable offence but was later granted police bail.
The case was adjourned to March 12.
