A four-year-old girl allegedly ‘murdered by her mother’ was found dead on a table in a garden, an inquest heard today.
Amelia Brooke Harris was discovered by police at her family home in Trealaw in the Rhondda, South Wales.
Her mother Carly Ann Harris, 37, was arrested on suspicion of Amelia’s murder.

Police entered the back garden of the home on June 8 to find a child’s body on the coffee table
Coroner’s officer Robert Lewis said police entered the back garden of the home on June 8 to find a child’s body on the coffee table.
Pontypridd Coroner’s Court heard Amelia’s body was later formally identified by her grandmother.
A forensic pathologist said a post mortem examination was yet to conclude how Amelia had died and had ordered further tests.

Carly Ann Harris has not yet entered a plea and has been remanded in custody
Scores of floral tributes, toys and teddy bears have been left outside the home
No family members were present during the short hearing which was adjourned until November 13.
