A ‘loving’ mother-of-three who died of a cardiac arrest at a Pontins holiday park was visited by police at her chalet just hours before her death.

Sioned Evans collapsed on Saturday morning at the popular holiday resort in Prestatyn, North Wales.

North Wales Police have now confirmed that they were called out to the 33-year-old’s chalet in the early hours of the morning before later leaving the scene.

They have not said why they were first called out to the holiday park and have highlighted that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

Superintendent Nick Evans, from North Wales Police, said: ‘We would like to extend our condolences to the lady’s family and friends.

‘I can confirm that police officers did attend the chalet at Pontins earlier in the evening.

‘The full circumstances of this lady’s death and the earlier visit by police officers continue to be examined, as would be expected following such a sad and untimely loss of life.

‘However, at this time there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.’

A holidaymaker who saw the incident said that police were at the chalet at around 1am, before they later left.

Officers returned just before 7.30am as medics attempted to save the mother-of-three from Caernarfon, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tributes have flooded in for the ‘loving’ mother, with more than £3,500 raised for her family to help pay for her funeral after a GoFundMe page was set up.

Scores of comments have also been left expressing their devastation at the news.

Family friend Vincent Graham, who set up the page, said: ‘Rob and his family are absolutely heartbroken over the loss of Sioned, the love of his life and life will never be the same for him and the boys.

‘Sioned deserves the best send-off and as a friend to Rob I’m asking if you could please help by donating anything at all to help towards laying his beautiful partner, mother of their children to rest.’

Caernarfon councillor Jason Parry said: ‘I hope that the community rallies round her family and are generous.

‘When tragedies do happen here, the sense of community and support is incredible and they always rally round to support people.’
