Viewers were grossed out but ‘addicted’ to their screens when a woman had her tail-like bump on the back of her leg removed in Dr Pimple Popper.
In last night’s stomach-churning episode, Heather, 32, from Florida, told how she had put up with the growth for ten years and was left so ’embarrassed’ by it, she wouldn’t take her children to play out in public.
‘The lump looks the size of a soft ball,’ said the mother-of-two. ‘It’s really difficult to sit on. I am embarrassed of the lump – it’s gross. I’ve had the lump for ten years and have no idea what it was.’
And after Dr Pimple Popper removed the ‘heavy’ lipoma in gruesome scenes, grossed out viewers took to social media – with very mixed reactions.
‘The adrenaline rush I get from watching Dr Pimple Popper honestly makes me understand people’s attraction to horror films,’ joked one, while another penned: ‘I watched for like 2 minutes and thought I might pass out.’
Heather, 32, from Florida, had her tail-like bump removed in last night’s episode of TLC’s Dr Pimple Popper
The-mother-of-two revealed how she had been living with the lump for ten years and was so ’embarrassed’ by it, she couldn’t take her children out to play in public
Viewers had a mixed response to the episode, with one admitting: ‘I want to go to sleep…but I can’t look away!’
A third wrote: ‘You couldn’t pay me to watch that,’ while a further added: ‘Dr Pimple Popper is so nasty to watch, but I can’t stop watching it.’
During the episode, Heather explained how she first noticed a ‘tiny lump’ on the back of her leg after she gained a lot of weight before getting pregnant with her first child.
‘I thought it was just a little tiny pimple, so I just left it alone,’ she said. ‘But it was getting bigger and bigger and it started to scare me a little bit.’
Heather, who admitted she would wear compression shorts to try and hide the bump, was told by a GP it would disappear if she lost weight. But after working hard to shed 30lbs, she was devastated to find it continued to get bigger.
Dr Sandra Lee said that Heather’s lump, which turned out to be a lipoma, was ‘much deeper’ than it initially looked

The mother-of-two also revealed that since her teenage years, she’d suffered from problems with keloids.
‘I had one removed and it came back bigger, so having the surgery would be very, very scary to me,’ she said. ‘I’m afraid the incision itself would turn into a keloid. I would lose all hope.’
But after arriving at Dr Sandra Lee’s surgery, she was finally offered a diagnosis – before it was removed entirely.
‘The bump is a lipoma which is a good thing because that means it’s benign, but it is much deeper than it initially looks,’ explained the expert. ‘A bit like an iceberg, it really does project under the surface of the skin.’
As she cut away the ‘heavy’ growth, those who tuned in revealed they were struggling to watch the grim removal.
‘Still don’t believe that that Dr pimple popper show has such high ratings and is still growing… humans are definitely a weird bunch,’ wrote one, while another commented: ‘You guys. I want to go to sleep. But also, Dr. Pimple Popper is on, and I can’t look away.’
Dr Pimple Popper airs Thursdays at 10pm exclusively on TLC
