A horrified mother has found a used needle under a baby change table in a shopping centre bathroom while changing her son’s nappy.

The mother made the disgusting find in the disabled bathroom at Westpoint Shopping Centre, in Browns Plains, south of Brisbane, on Saturday.

‘I took my son the the disabled toilet to change his nappy, only to pull the change table down to find a used needle with the top off and smokes butt and a shirt,’ she said. 

She shared a photo to social media, showing the used needle with drops of blood at the end of the end of the syringe.

‘This is to warn mums and dads to be careful using the toilets at West Point shopping centre browns plains,’ she said.  

‘F**king junkies go shoot up somewhere else.’

The mother said she reported the incident to the shopping centre’s Woolworths, who notified police.

The post received hundreds of comments from angry parents and shoppers.

‘A**hole junkies! Do what you want to yourselves don’t bring others into it! Your choices are not our consequences!,’ one woman wrote.

‘If you want to inject s**t into your body at least do it in a safe place for goodness sake.’

‘Of all the places you could leave it though, in a frickin baby change table,’ read another comment.
